Financial
Aid
Yes,
Financial Aid IS Available!
Queen City College aims to provide every eligible student with the
financial
assistance needed to attend college.
All financial aid is awarded based on need, as determined by the
Department of Education. Our financial aid officer determines your
need based in part on an estimate of your costs for tuition, books,
kits,
transportation, housing and personal expenses.
We offer Pell Grants, cash installment payments and
Veterans Administration
Educational Benefits.
Federal Pell Grants. If you haven’t earned
a bachelor’s or professional degree
and you meet the government’s criteria, you are eligible to
apply for this grant.
Pell Grants usually do not have to be repaid. To apply, pick up an
application
from our financial aid officer.
Cash Installment Payments. All students are eligible
for monthly interest-free
cash payments toward their tuition. Payments may be extended over
the
length of your program. You will be required to sign an installment
note and
make prompt payments. The balance must be paid in full before graduation.
Veterans Administration Educational Benefits. A veteran
wishing to apply to use
their VA benefits must complete VA Form 22-1990. After enrollment,
if a student
using VA benefits misses three consecutive days (or five consecutive
days with
official military orders), his or her benefits will be canceled until
regular
attendance is acquired.
To retain your financial aid, you must meet the
Satisfactory Progress Policy requirement and achieve at least 66 percent
of
the clock hours you attempt. You also must maintain the minimum grade
point average for your program.
