Admission Requirements
1. Proof of Age. Submit a copy of your valid driver's license, birth certificate or state ID card.
2. Proof of Education. Submit a copy of your passing GED test scores, high school diploma or high school transcript.
3. A Social Security card with your legal name and signature.

Transfer Students
If you are transferring from another school, Queen City College will administer an examination to determine credit for previous barber/cosmetology training. You may enter any of the training programs at the level you establish through the examination results, and your tuition may be prorated for the advancement allowed.

In addition, we recognize any hours accumulated from other licensed schools of cosmetology and barbering under the auspices of the Tennessee Board of Barbering and Cosmetology.

Students Applying for Veterans Administration Benefits
*Before enrolling, bring a copy of your Certificate of Eligibility Letter.
*If active duty, you must meet with the Education Center on post.
*See if you are eligible for Tuition Assistance Benefits.
*If already out of the military, bring a copy of your DD214.

All Queen City College programs are approved for VA Educational Benefits:
Barber, Barber to Cosmetology, Cosmetology, Esthetics, Cosmetology to Barber, Manicure/Nail Tech

Admissions Director - Linda Pickett
Linda Pickett is Queen City College’s Admissions Director. She was born in Tennessee and raised in Illinois, she moved back to Tennessee after retiring to be closer to her family. Mrs. Linda has been employed with the company for the past 4 years. Mrs. Linda assists all of our students with their admissions process.

At Queen City College, we place our students first. That means we've listened when our students have told us how tough it is to balance work and family with their classes. And that's why we provide customized class schedules.

Day Classes:
30-hour week 9:30 a.m.-4:00 p.m. Tues.-Sat.
35-hour week 9:30 a.m.-5:00 p.m. Tues.-Fri. 8:30 a.m.-4:00 p.m. Sat.
40-hour week 9:30 a.m.-6:00 p.m. Tues.-Fri. 8:00 a.m.-4:30 p.m. Sat.

Night Classes:
30-hour week 4:00 p.m.-10:00 p.m. Tues.-Fri. 9:30 a.m.-4:00 p.m. Sat.
35-hour week 2:30 p.m.-10:00 p.m. Tues.-Fri. 8:30 a.m.-4:00 p.m. Sat.
40-hour week 1:30 p.m.-10:00 p.m. Tues.-Fri. 8:00 a.m.-4:30 p.m. Sat

We also offer part-time schedules on an individual basis.
New classes begin on the first Tuesday of each month.
